The
opening screen for the database is divided into 3 sections:
Searching
the Database
There
are two ways in which you can choose to search:
a. “Services
in the Community” – allows you to search by services offered. Type
in your keywords and click “Go”. A
list of service terms related to your keywords will be displayed. Click
on the service that is closest to your area of interest. A list of providers who offer this service will be displayed.
b. “Agencies/Programs
in the Community” – allows you to search by agency or program name. Type
in your keywords and click “Go”. A
list of agencies and programs with those keywords in their name will be
listed.
Once
your list of agencies is displayed for the service you selected, you may
click on any agency name to obtain more detailed information about that
agency and service. If a street
address is listed for that agency, you can obtain a street map by selecting
the “Get Directions” button across the top of the screen (this feature
will not work for a Post Office Box). If
the agency has a website, a link will be displayed under the agency’s address.
