As you may be aware, the Will Library’s air conditioning system is not working. After several attempts to fix the library’s 30 year old chiller we have determined that it is beyond repair.
We are working to install a rental cooling system as quickly as possible, with longer term plans to replace the unit entirely. In the meantime we apologize for any discomfort or service disruptions.
Even before we experienced problems this summer we began working with the The City of Yonkers on a plan for bringing much needed renovations to Will Library, ranging from updating the elevator to replacing our aging HVAC infrastructure.
We thank the City for their commitment to addressing these facilities issues, and thank you for your patience and understanding as we move through the design and construction process.
