Bat Week is an annual, international celebration of the role of bats in nature.
As we kick off Bat Week 2021, let’s get back to basics and share some background information about bats: they’re mammals, they’re in danger, they’re important to many different ecosystems, and they’re a diverse group.

Fun events online and in person:
Join us on Monday, October 25 at 3 PM outside Crestwood Library for Chalk it Up, where we will draw some bats together!
On Tuesday, October 26 at 4 PM, teens are invited to a special Bat Week Edition of Teen Tuesday via ZOOM. For more information, click here.
On Thursday, October 28 at 4 PM in the Crestwood Courtyard, join Cooper the Therapy Dog to hear some Fun Facts about Bats and listen to a couple of stories about Bats. For more information, click here.
Sign up to participate in our special evening Juice & Paint Bat Week Edition with Local Crestwood Artist Jenny Kenny at 7 PM. Space is limited and you will need to pick up a kit from Crestwood LIbrary. To register in advance, click here.
On Saturday October 30th, at 11 AM outside the Crestwood Library, join Miss Gina for a special Edition of Music & Movement featuring Cats, Bats & More!
On Sunday October 31st, join us for a special trio of events:
3 PM – Bake the World a Better Place: Trick or No Bake Treats!
