Yonkers Public Library (YPL) buildings have reopened. Learn more about our reopening plan.

Federal Depository

feddepThe Yonkers Public Library provides a core collection of online federal depository materials in the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) Basic Collection below.

While the Riverfront Library once held a selection of these materials in print, the online collection is the most up-to-date, and the print collection has been phased out. (We still have tax forms, just come to the Reference Department and ask.) To find print materials at a Federal Depository Library, follow this link

FDLP has compiled Libguides to help users search federal documents by subject and keyword. These guides are arranged in three groups:

  • Subject Guides contain information about specific topics, including resource lists, search tips, and community guides. Community guides are arranged by topic and contain links to guides created by libraries and agencies outside of GPO. These are housed on the creating institution’s websites.
  • Hot Topics contain collections of guides on specific topics that are of current interest. These can include guides from any of the other groups.
  • FDLP Information. Resources and guidance for federal depository libraries.

The FDLP Basic Collection lists sources of information about the workings and essential activities of the U.S. Government.
