LGBTQ Pride Month is celebrated in June to honor the Stonewall Uprising, which occurred from June 28, 1969 to July 3, 1969. The first Pride March was held on June 28, 1970. This year the march has been cancelled, but to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first march, there will be a pride event that ABC will broadcast on Sunday, June 28 from 12– 2 PM.
