Meet our Staff: Frank Iwuchukwu

This is a monthly series that profiles YPL employees dedicated to serving Yonkers community members and beyond. Frank is Riverfront Library’s resident IT specialist. He plays a fundamental role in ensuring the technological needs of our staff and the public are being met. 

What library and department do you work in? Riverfront Library – IT Department

How long have you worked for the library? 4 years and nine months!

Where did you grow up? Lagos, Nigeria

What is your favorite thing about working in a library? Being surrounded by knowledge and cutting edge technology.

What would be the name of your autobiography? Veni Vidi Vici

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? Build an app

What do you spend your time doing outside of work? Spending time outdoors with my family

If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose? Clark Kent (Superman)

What is something you learned or taught in the last week? Taught a patron how to connect to a Chromebook for Zoom meeting

What is your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?  Movies and Soccer

What chore do you absolutely hate doing? Washing dishes

What are you currently reading, listening to or watching? Set Boundaries, Find Peace by Nedra Glover Tawwab.

If you won the lottery, what is the first you would do? Pay off all my debt!

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t working for the library? Working for a media outlet.
