In preparation for the Super Bowl, an entertaining podcast to listen to is New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce. This podcast is created by the Kelce brothers who will be playing in the upcoming Super Bowl, which is why it has been referred to as the Kelce Bowl. Jason plays for the Philadelphia Eagles and Travis plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. The brothers mostly talk about football but they include funny segments in their podcast such as answering questions from fans. Guests (usually football stars) frequently join the show and add to the hilarity of the podcast. Football fans and those that will be watching the Super Bowl should listen to New Heights for insight into the game and laughs.
In the latest episode, the Kelce brothers talk about the NFC and AFC championships that their teams won. Jason talks a lot about the energy of Eagle fans and how they are not to be messed with. Certain 49er players made the mistake of talking back to them which was exactly what they wanted. Travis talks about his epic rant following The Chiefs win which included an impersonation of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The Cincinnati Mayor referred to the Chiefs Stadium as “Burrowhead” (Joe Burrow is the quarterback of the The Bengals) and this added fuel to the fire of Chiefs players. Both brothers provide insight into the game and players which is interesting to hear.
In each episode of the podcast, there is a segment where the Kelces answer questions from fans. They are supposed to be “dumb” questions but they are often good ones. One of them was about adding or removing rules to football. Jason, who plays on the offensive line, would be happy if the NFL got rid of holding penalties. Travis thinks fighting should be allowed like it is in hockey. I do not think these ideas have any possibility of happening but hearing the Kelces talk about them is certainly amusing.
Guests on New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce have included Patrick Mahomes (quarterback of The Chiefs), Jalen Hurts (quarterback of The Eagles), and Rob Gronkowski aka “Gronk” (former player for the Patriots and Buccaneers). In the episode with Gronk, he is his usual comical self and tells a story of trying to block Vince Wilfork (defensive tackle of The Patriots) during practice that did not end well. Gronk will attempt a field goal during the Super Bowl, which will be a sight to see…
New Heights with Travis and Jason Kelce is an entertaining podcast and insightful one about football. Besides laughing, you learn a lot about the ins and outs of the game. While NFL players are competitive with each other on the field, you learn that they have a tremendous amount of respect for each other. This is an excellent podcast to listen to in anticipation of the Super Bowl which is on February 12 at 6:30 PM.
