Calling all readers! This week, from March 5th to March 11th, is Read an eBook Week. It’s a celebration of the way many readers enjoy books in the digital age, on their phones and tablets or eReader devices.
Your Yonkers Public Library card gets you more than just access to physical books. Your library card number gets you access to an extensive eLibrary with thousands of popular books at your fingertips!
Here are some of the great apps that can help you celebrate Read an eBook Week with YPL:
Formerly known as Overdrive, Libby offers a great selection of popular fiction and nonfiction titles, as well as audiobooks. You can read your books across multiple devices, download titles for offline reading, or even send your Libby library loans to your Amazon Kindle device.
Check out eBooks, audiobooks, magazines and an extensive comic book and graphic novel collection with Hoopla. You can check out up to ten items per month, in addition to streaming music, TV and movies!
This is another great resource for a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction titles. Easily browse by genre and read what’s popular through the Freading app.
If you’re a fan of comics, then Comics Plus is the app for you! Access hundreds of popular comic books, graphic novels and manga online or on the app.
