YPL Celebrates Pride Month with Events

All of us here at the Yonkers Public Library would like to wish you a very happy pride month, and we invite you to come and celebrate with us! Modern LGBTQ+ liberation came to fruition in the United States in the 1970’s, after a series of Stonewall Riots that began in June 1969. These riots have since sparked the spread of pride events and celebrations nationwide to date. 

After fifty years of celebration, celebrating Pride month is as important as ever. We must continue to uplift and support members of the LGBTQ+ community, and we hope to spread education and awareness here at YPL.

LGBTQ+ Affinity Group
Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of every month from 4:00-5:00pm at the Riverfront Library, Riverfront Art Gallery. For ages 12-18.
