The Yonkers Public Library and the Yonkers Historical Society are hosting a program called YPL Presents: The Old Croton Aqueduct. It will be held on October 21 at 7 PM.The program is about the development of the Croton Aqueduct system and its relation to Yonkers history. Besides being an engineering feat, the Croton Aqueduct had a social, economical and historical impact on Westchester County and New York City. The presenter is Tom Tarnowsky who is a member of the Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct. Tom researched the history of the NYC water system for almost 20 years.
