“YPL Presents:” Virtual Author Talk Series

Thanks to generous funding from the Foundation for the Yonkers Public Library, YPL is pleased to be a founding member of the Library Speakers Consortium. The Library Speakers Consortium is a new partnership of public libraries that will bring interactive, virtual talks from bestselling authors to Yonkers and similar communities that aren’t always stops on national book tours. Even better, you’ll be able to enjoy these talks from comfort and convenience of your own home.

Starting in July, we’ll host two to three author talks every month through the “YPL Presents:” Virtual Author Talk Series website. Visit the site for more information on upcoming events, which include discussions from bestselling authors like Alka Joshi, Simon Winchester and Liz Moore. If you’re interested in one of the talks you can register, and while you’re doing that you can include a question you’d like the moderator to ask the author. Once you register you’ll receive a notification email with a calendar invitation that includes a link to the event livestream.  As the event approaches you’ll get reminders. 

A list of some of the already scheduled events is below, but keep an eye on the “YPL Presents:” website as new events are added.
