Will Library reopened at 9am on Tuesday, April 21

Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison. 

YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

100 Female Artists

Every week we will create a small 4” x 6” postcard in the art style and medium of the current week’s artist. We’ll be using Women in Art a postcard series available from Amazon, but it isn’t necessary to purchase them. I’ll demonstrate the postcard every week as well as the art materials. Tue into our first class on Monday, March 6 at 6:00 pm.

April 10: Alma Thomas

Alma Thomas was a painter who created patterns with brush strokes. We'll be replicating that tonight.

You will need:

Acrylic paint

A flat paint brush

Heavy paper that can hold up to paint

A 4" x 6" postcard.
