Will Library reopened at 9am on Tuesday, April 21

Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison. 

YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

100 Female Artists

Every week we will create a small 4” x 6” postcard in the art style and medium of the current week’s artist. We’ll be using Women in Art a postcard series available from Amazon, but it isn’t necessary to purchase them. I’ll demonstrate the postcard every week as well as the art materials.

April 24: Hannah Hoch

Hannah Hoch was a mixed-media and collage artist. She focused mainly on images on the human face and figure. We will explore her techniques in class this week.

You will need:

Images of the body, images from the face, eyes, nose, mouth

Heavy stock paper 4" x 6"

Good glue for paper like glue stick, Yes glue or anything that doesn't wrinkle the paper.
