Will Library reopens at 9am on Tuesday, April 21

Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison. 

YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

Event Details

During these sessions, youth can expect to participate in the following: 

  • Design a Social Media Campaign: We have begun designing a social media campaign around teen health and wellness; the participants would have a hand in designing Instagram posts via Canva, creating TikTok videos, etc. that share information about teen health information and resources. 
  • Peer Education: Researching and compiling data on teen health statistics and sharing the information with peers through Social Media, flyers, health fairs, and more.
  • Community Service: Brainstorming and selecting at least one community service project that can be done outside of school hours (park clean-up, blood drive, tabling at a Sun River Health event, etc.)
