Will Library reopened at 9am on Tuesday, April 21

Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison. 

YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

In honor of Mother’s Day in May, we will explore the representation of Motherhood in Art throughout art history in a variety of images that are grouped thematically, including paintings, sculpture and other media. We will look at secular and religious themes such as mothers with children, birth, women as nurturers, the roles of mothers in everyday life, politics, grief, and allegorical representations of mothers. Join us in our journey celebrating women and mothers in art from prehistoric times to the present.
