Will Library reopens at 9am on Tuesday, April 21

Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison.

YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

Borders can act as cultural unifiers, allowing for groups to build community around shared experiences and values. They can also separate us in catastrophic ways by perpetuating and fortifying socially constructed divisions between class, politics, accessibility, race, and gender. How do we build community across all forms of these perceived boundaries? This exciting exhibit showcases the many ways that artists have explored themes of hope, healing and inclusivity across global borders. Through sculpture, painting, textiles and installation, artists have sought to eliminate boundaries as they foster community and broaden understanding.
