Event Details

Join Young Musicians of Yonkers and Friends of Crestwood Library on for a concert by the QC Jazz Quartet. Led by Dan Keding, Canadian jazz guitarist, composer and arranger, the quartet members are all students or recent alumni from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, CUNY’s own music conservatory.

Dan performs mid-twentieth century jazz and original music anywhere from botanical gardens and museums to jazz festivals. He’s performed on international tours, and recorded with artists from Canada, Colombia, and as far as China. Dan’s adventurous spirit carries into his compositions, writing for vocal groups, jazz ensembles, string quartets, orchestra, piano solo, and marimba. Though jazz represents Dan’s focal point,
he also plays fusion, flamenco, pop, and rock music. Dan's extensive knowledge in music theory and harmony influences his love of improvising in a jazz setting.
