Will Library reopened at 9am on Tuesday, April 21

Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison. 

YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

UPDATE: The Yonkers Fire Department’s SMOKEHOUSE trailer will not be available to come to the Crestwood Library on Saturday, April 29, due to maintenance/safety issues with the trailer.

A Fire Fighter will come to the Crestwood Library without the trailer and give a fire prevention and safety presentation. The Fire Fighter will show a film and distribute educational materials for you to take home. Then you and your family can prepare a plan to exit your home or apartment in an emergency. Children, teens, and adults are welcome to participate. Invest an hour to save a life--it might be yours.


There will only be one session at the Crestwood Library on April 29 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
