Will Library reopens at 9am on Tuesday, April 21

Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison. 

YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

STEM/Technology

STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering, and math. These four fields share an emphasis on innovation, problem-solving, and critical thinking. 

Learn how to build your own air purifier from experts from GroundWork Hudson Valley using materials provided at the workshop. 

Participants will create air purifiers from commonly available materials and will learn how to use mobile air quality monitors available for loan through the Library. Everyone will learn the importance of monitoring air quality in living spaces.
