Join us to celebrate Yonkers as a World War II American Heritage City, honor local heroes, and learn about the Yonkers Home News! 

We'll honor local hero and Tuskegee Airman Ivan McRae, and we'll learn about library resources to study the people and industries in Yonkers that helped win the war. 

Discover oral histories from Yonkers veterans, and find out about the newly-digitized Yonkers Home News, the World War II newspaper published by the Alexander Smith Foundation to share hometown news among service members. Light refreshments provided.
