“My idea of good company, Mr Elliot, is the company of clever, well-informed people, who have a great deal of conversation; that is what I call good company."
As we celebrate Jane Austen's 250th birthday, Anne Elliot, the protagonist of Persuasion expresses what we are all looking for in our everyday lives. Join us at Crestwood Library to listen to speaker Stephanie Diehl, PhD from Rutgers discuss Jane Austen and eighteenth century culture. The conversations will be served with scones, tea, and other treats!
