Peter Fletcher is an American classical guitarist based in Detroit and New York City with recordings that have been critically acclaimed.
Enjoy this solo recital that includes repertoire that runs the gamut from the Renaissance Period through the 20th Century. Features include Bach’s Third Lute Suite and Jesu, Allegro by Santiago de Murcia; variations of G. F. Handel’s “The Harmonious Blacksmith”, Francisco Tárrega’s Capricho Araby, and works by Alexandre Tansman.
Peter is especially excited to perform Simple Gifts, a Traditional Shaker Hymn by guitarist Christopher Parkening, and Usher – Valse by Nikita Koshkin. Composed in 1984, this piece has taken inspiration from the short story The Fall Of The House Of Usher by Edgar Allen Poe.
