Will Library reopened at 9am on Tuesday, April 21

Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison. 

YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

 In 1949, violence occurred at two Paul Robeson concerts in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Citizens of Peekskill unleashed violence that resulted in hundreds of injuries and made national news. Learn about what happened in episode one of the five part documentary series The Peekskill Riots. 

 Director Jon Scott Bennett will lead a discussion following the screening of episode one of the documentary.
