A program with Ranger Cassie Hughes of the Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park.

The "Rosie the Riveter" "We Can Do It!" poster is one of the most iconic symbols from WWII. The image became a symbol of the women's liberation movement of the 1970s and is recognized all over the world. Let's explore how this icon came to be and how she represents the intense and sudden changes American women experienced on the WWII home front.
