Will Library reopens at 9am on Tuesday, April 21

Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison. 

YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

Event Details

Theatre of the Oppressed is a series of theatre activities and games that engages communities in social change. Our workshops will organize local teens to form theatre troupes. These troupes will devise and perform plays based on the challenges confronting them including economic inequality, racism, and other social, educational, health and human rights injustices. Teens will learn how to perform live, interactive plays inspired by real-life struggles – the problems they face everyday – with the intention of engaging peers in theatrical problem-solving which can help inspire concrete, social action.
