Will Library reopened at 9am on Tuesday, April 21

Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison.

YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

Many commonly used chemicals by homeowners and gardeners may cause serious health effects in children, adults, and pets. Many of these chemicals also runoff gardens and yards into rivers, streams, lakes, and the Bay. In this virtual presentation, you will hear the latest science on how common pesticides impact health, children's unique vulnerability, and steps that families can take to reduce pesticide exposures.

Speaker: Sarah Evans PhD MPH, Assistant Professor Environmental Medicine and Public Health, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
