Westchester County Department of Health Lead Rental Registry Assistance

Public Health Law 1377, mandates a new Lead Rental Registry and proactive inspection program to identify and remediate lead paint hazards. It requires owners of residential rental properties (2+ units) built before 1980 in identified "communities of concern"  (excluding NYC) to certify their units are free of lead-based paint hazards every three years.

Property owners of buildings with 2 or more units in the 10705 and 10701 zip codes, received letters with instructions to register their property for the NYS Rental Registry. Many are voicing difficulties with registration. We will assist with registration for property owners who are having difficulty.
