Untermyer Gardens Conservatory Walk with Yonkers NNORC

Untermyer Gardens is one of the true gems of the City of Yonkers! Originally built on the grounds of Greystone, the home of Samuel Untermyer, a prominent Jewish lawyer, the gardens have been painstakingly restored after over half a century of disrepair. Crestwood Library was pleased to partner with Yonkers NNORC (Neighborhood Naturally Occurring Retirement Community) to bring patrons to tour the grounds and enjoy the beauty of spring. Everyone was delighted to be outside, and they particularly admired the lovely trees at Untermyer since today is National Love a Tree Day!

We encourage you to explore the grounds this May. Admission is free, though donations to the Untermyer Gardens Conservancy are appreciated. See below some photos from the trip and information and activity sheets to help you explore and learn more about the gardens.
