Will Library reopened at 9am on Tuesday, April 21
Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison.
YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.
Riverfront Local History Room (3rd Floor)
Yonkers Public Library (YPL) is always committed to honoring the people’s history of Yonkers and the greater Westchester area. The Will Library houses a creative studio space with a full suite of equipment, software, and other resources, as well as the Yonkers History Society records.
We’re actively adding to our library archives of images and video and sound recordings, including interviews with Yonkers residents.
We can also assist you with researching the history of your family and your ancestors through our genealogical services.
