Will Library reopened at 9am on Tuesday, April 21

Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison. 

YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

Event Details

Join us for an entertaining, informative, and modestly interactive series highlighting 4 great operas. These classes will introduce you to the main arias, plot, and composers and offer you the chance to read from scripts and wear costumes (completely voluntary!). 

Featured operas are La Traviata, Porgy and Bess, Carmen by Georges Bizet, and Tosca.

Funded and done in collaboration with Westchester Community College.
