Will Library reopened at 9am on Tuesday, April 21

Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison. 

YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

Families enjoy a traditional storytime, then work together on a project. Different themes every week.

Have you ever seen popcorn dance or used candy to paint? Have you ever wondered how to make paper move without touching or blowing it - it's not magic, it's science! Magnetism, changing milk to ice cream, painting with salt - it's all here plus you get stories and songs.

Children under 8

No person shall leave young children (ages eight and under) unattended anywhere on library premises. Parents or guardians are expected to look after their children while visiting the library with them.

Parents must stay

Parents/Guardians must stay - this is not a drop-off program.
