Will Library reopened at 9am on Tuesday, April 21

Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison. 

YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

STEM/Technology

STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering, and math. These four fields share an emphasis on innovation, problem-solving, and critical thinking. 

Register separately for each weekly topic. Students attend all 4 sessions during the week. No prior skills required for workshops.

Minecraft City Building

In this collaborative and imaginative program, students will work together in Minecraft’s Creative Mode to design and build a shared city. The week begins with brainstorming and sketching ideas for their dream city—exploring what makes a city function and thrive, and what unique features they'd like to include. Once a theme is chosen, the real building begins!

Working in the same shared world throughout the week, each student will contribute their own creations to bring the collective vision to life.
