- Library-by-Mail is a service provided by Yonkers Public Library for library materials to be mailed to people who are homebound.
Will Library reopens at 9am on Tuesday, April 21
Will Library closed due to an issue with defective electrical equipment. That equipment has since been replaced, passed City of Yonkers electrical inspection, and power has been restored by Con Edison.
YPL thanks the Mayor's Office, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Buildings and Yonkers Fire Department for their help in resolving this issue. We also thank our patrons for their patience and understanding.

Book drops are available outside all of the Libraries when they are closed.
A Westchester County library card is needed to borrow materials.
BOOKS
Yonkers Public Library (YPL) believes that every student in Yonkers should have a library card.
The Computer Room Centers at the Riverfront Library and Grinton I. Will Branch offer personal computers which have word processing, spreadsheet and resume-writing software. Computers are also available at the Crestwood Branch.
Copy Machines are available at all branches.
Free fax services are offered at the Riverfront Library on the 1st floor, the Grinton I. Will Library in the Fine Arts section and at the Crestwood Library in the Main Reading Room.

Internet access is available at all branches of the Yonkers Public Library. With your library card’s barcode number, you have remote access at home to extensive reference databases which provide articles from hundreds of magazines and abstracts from many more publications.
You can meet with our job search coach, Roseanne, via Zoom for a half hour session. Appointments are available Wednesdays, 10 am to 1 pm. Resume review, cover letter tips, interviewing prep, job application assistance.
The Library-by-Mail is a service that provides library materials through the mail for people who are unable to leave their homes due to a temporary or permanent disability.
All newspapers and microfilm must be used in the library.
