Ways to Support YPL

The Foundation for the Yonkers Public Library (FYPL) enhances the Library’s ability to provide outstanding programming, cutting-edge technology, and vibrant meeting places that best serve our diverse community. Since its founding, FYPL has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support YPL programs including Born to Read, 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, and the YPL Presents virtual author talk series.

YPL is proud to partner with Bonfire to provide high-quality, customizable YPL merchandise including t-shirts, sweatshirts, totebags, and coffee mugs. Wearing YPL-branded clothing declares that you are a library advocate and raises our profile in the community. Plus we receive a commission for every item sold!

The Yonkers Public Library has two Friends groups: Friends of the Yonkers Public Library and Friends of the Crestwood Library. Through fundraising and book sales, Friends sponsor special programs and donate books, furnishings, etc., which the Library’s operating budget cannot provide.
